La Tête en Friche

La Tête en Friche - 2010 French film directed by Jean Becker. In this heart-warming, feel-good story, Gérard Depardieu stars as Germain, a barely literate middle-aged man who faces constant ridicule from those around him. But his life takes a turn for the better when he meets Marguerite (Gisèle Casadesus), an elderly woman with a passion for reading who introduces him to the beautiful world of French literature. With Marguerite's warmth and guidance, Germain develops the maturity and confidence necessary to take control of his destiny and live the life he has always wanted. Rated PG in Canada, 82 minutes with optional English subtitles.
