God is Great and I'm Not (Dieu est Grand et je suis toute petite)

God is Great and I'm Not (Dieu est Grand et je suis toute petite) DVD - 2001 film directed by Pascale Bailly. Before winning the world's heart in Amélie and L'Auberge Espagnole, Audrey Tautou lit up the screen in this unorthodox romantic comedy about one woman's search for love and enlightenment. Audrey Tautou does it again in this adorable comedy as Michèle, 20 years old, who feels terrible after having broken up with her boyfriend. She meets François, who's a veterinarian and Jewish and she decides to convert. Things can only improve for Michèle and François after their one-night stand ends with her suicide attempt. The aspiring model turns to religion to find meaning in her life. Her attempts to convert confound the non-practicing François and his family. With an affectionate nod towards Woody Allen, this film is as unpredictable as love itself. Also stars Edouard Baer and Julie Depardieu (daughter of Gerard Depardieu). Unrated (rated 13 in Argentina), 95 minutes.
