Funny Games DVD

Funny Games DVD - 1998 German film directed by Michael Haneke. This provocative German thriller involves two well educated young men who approach a family on vacation. They are, apparently, friends of the neighbors, and at the beginning their real intentions are not known. But soon the family will be imprisoned and tortured in his own house, in a very violent way, which the viewers are forced mostly to imagine and to share a certain complicity with the criminals. An official selection at the Cannes Film Festival, it stars Susanne Lothar, Ulrich Müauthe, Arno Frisch and Frank Giering. Not rated, but does contain a parent advisory, 103 minutes, letterbox format. German audio track and English subtitles.
