The Giant Turnip - Ukrainian-English edition adapted by Henriette Barkow, illustrated by Richard Johnson and translated into Ukrainian by Natalia Racheyskova. When Miss Honeywood's class set about planting a vegetable garden, they have no idea what's in store for them. Soon they have grown a turnip taller than a giraffe and wider than an elephant! But what can you do with a giant turnip?

Vividly illustrated and humorously narrated, this modern retelling of a much-loved Russian fairy tale is a story about little people working together to solve big problems. 'The Giant Turnip' can be used to talk through the value of teamwork and helping others with young children.
