Happenstance (Le Battement d'ailes du papillon)

Happenstance (Le Battement d'ailes du papillon) - 2000 film directed by Laurent Firode. Audrey Tautou (star of Amélie) shimmers like a born movie star in Happenstance. A woman on the morning train tells Tautou that the full moon will lead her to her soulmate; from there, Happenstance follows a marvelous interlocking series of events. How, thanks to what's known as the 'Butterfly theory' (a random series of unlinked events), can a young woman and a young man meet? What if everything happened for a reason? What if the slightest twist of fate changed your life. Also stars Faudel and Eric Sauvin. Rated R, for a scene of nudity, 97 minutes. Optional English subtitles.
