German Culture Through Film - an Introduction to German Cinema (in English) by Robert C. Reimer and Reinhard Zachau. Contributions by Margit Sinka. 

This is a two book series. The first text, in English, covers the wide range of 31 German films. The second text covers a selection of the same films with emphasis on German language skills. This book can be used for courses in German film. The series is designed to appeal to professors who teach courses in general education, liberal arts, cinema, or who conduct a course in German film.
