A powerful multilingual word processor for Windows.
Global Writer does not translate. You must know the language that you are
typing. But you do not need to learn a new keyboard layout because included are
special phonetic keyboards for each language based on US, French or German
standard keyboards. Also included are standard Windows based non-phonetic
keyboards for those who prefer them. A spell Checker is included to check
documents in Western European, Russian and Arabic languages, or customize it for
any language. There is a customizable thesaurus so that the user can create
their own translation dictionaries in any language pair (so it is not already
there - you must create it!). A familiar-looking menu bar makes it easy to start
typing in minutes. Rich, high-quality scaleable TrueType fonts are included for
each language.
Type left to right or right to left automatically, depending on the
language. Easily cut and paste text into Microsoft® Office 97 documents (limited
to languages such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean, all European languages, Greek,
Cyrillic and Turkish). The pop-up language keyboard gives you the option to type
in your own language phonetically, without learning a new keyboard layout.
Easily send and receive multi-lingual e-mail with Microsoft® Outlook (receiver
must also be using Global Writer).

Global Writer requires: PC; Win 95, 98, NT or XP; 12MB RAM;
CD-ROM drive; approximately 10MB free HDS per language except Chinese, Japanese
and Korean which require about 50MB of disk space each.
