Ages 10 - Adult. This program recounts a unique episode in the history of WW II and in the 20th century. 1) The incarceration of half a million men, women and children in the “Jewish” quarter of Warsaw and their subsequent deportation to the death camps. 2) The first urban civil uprising of several hundred Jews against the Nazis. Follow in the steps of Anielewicz, the commander of the Jewish Combat Organization, at the age of 24; of Marek Edelman, one of the last survivors, who escaped the Ghetto through the sewers, and others. From the invasion of Poland in September 1939 to the insurrection of the Ghetto in 1943, 200 scenes retrace the events which led to the mass arrests in the summer of 1942 and to the murder of 400,000 Jewish people, to the first rebellion in January 1943, and to the uprising. There is a 3D reconstitution of the Ghetto, 200 animated scenes, testimonies from survivors, 4 1/2 hours of sound commentaries, 50 maps, 71 biographies and 10 songs sung in Yiddish by Talila.
